Today I went to visit the Nam June Paik’s Laser Cone at FACT for the second time. What bought me back to it was its interactive originality which encourages the audience to lie down beneath it, becoming meditated by the colourful lasers which seem to engulf the conscience. The exhibition description provides information about Paik’s influence of the links between technology & nature, and the 50th anniversary of the laser. However, the attraction to the stunning aesthetics and the overall audience experience is the part of this installation I will remember for years to come. Therefore I dedicate my photograph(s) of the day to Nam June Paik.
